The Inner Groove is featured as the run-out groove of the song A Day in the Life on the album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
It features a high-frequency 15-kilohertz tone and studio babble referred to as "Edit for LP End" in session notes, recorded on 21 April 1967. The run-out groove is emitted from the US version of the album, and is instead included separately on the 1980 album Rarities.
