The Fool on the Hill is a song by The Beatles written by Paul McCartney (credited to Lennon/McCartney) which was recorded in 1967. It was included on the Magical Mystery Tour album and in the film of the same name.

Trivia[]

  • In the song "Glass Onion", John tells us that, "I told you about the fool on the hill", although it is Paul who sings Fool on the Hill.
  • The morning that Paul wrote the song Alistair Taylor, Brian Epstein's assistant and Paul went for a walk completely sober and drug-free. They were looking at the sunrise when somebody appeared behind them, seeming like he was out of nowhere. They talked to him on the hill about the sunrise. They turned back to the sunrise and it was like he disappeared again.
