Worldwide, the Beatles released 21 studio albums, seven live albums, 54 compilation albums, 36 extended play singles, 63 singles and 17 box sets, The early albums and singles released from 1962 to 1967 were on Parlophone records; from 1968 to 1970, on their subsidiary label Apple. In their native United Kingdom, they released 12 studio albums, 13 extended plays (EPs), including one double EP, and 22 singles.
In the United States, albums and singles released from 1964 to 1967 were on Capitol records; from 1968 to 1970, on their subsidiary label Apple. In the U.S. they released 17 studio albums, 3 extended plays (EPs) and 46 singles. The first 7 British Beatles albums were converted into 10 LPs for the American market, adding material from singles and the UK EPs. With the exception of Magical Mystery Tour, studio releases from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band in 1967 forward were uniform in both the UK and the US. The Beatles issued 7 Christmas Flex Discs and a 1963-1969 Christmas compilation LP in 1970 exclusively for UK and US fan club members. The Beatles' UK discography was first released on CD in 1987 and 1988. The Beatles released their songs in both mono and stereo versions Between 1962 and 1968. The band's catalogue was remastered in both mono and stereo by producer George Martin in 2009.
