Startling Music Ltd is a publishing company formed by Ringo Starr in 1968, following his contract with Northern Songs expiring the same year. He formed the company due to John Lennon and Paul McCartney getting most of the royalties of George Harrison's compositions, and didn't want to make the same mistake. So with George Harrison beginning the publishing of his songs on Harrisongs, Starr published "Don't Pass Me By" and "Octopus's Garden" on Startling Music. He still uses it for his songs today.
