Abbey Road Studios is a recording studio in St John's Wood, London where The Beatles did most of their recording. It was called EMI until after The Beatles stopped recording together. The Beatles' album Abbey Road was named after the street it is located on.
For the 50th anniversary of the album's release, the gateposts were painted in a black-and-white striped pattern.
