"Let it be" - A song by Paul McCartney(credited to his duet with Lennon) recorded by the Beatles with Billy Preston,It is the title song in the film and album "Let it Be".
As McCartney said, the idea for the song came to him after he saw his mother in a dream,who had died of cancer in 1956, when Paul was fourteen. McCartney later said: "It was great to visit with her again. I felt very blessed to have that dream. So that got me writing 'Let It Be'." But there is another version.Malcolm Evans (road manager) claimed that Paul came up with the meditation song when the Beatles were in India.
